«To represent our own sight in the land of watched things»
Film critic Serge Daney talking about Woody Allen's film Zelig (1983)

Through a dozen stills taken from Hollywood movies in which the artist substituted his face for the main character’s one, he attempts to represent his own memory of the films he has seen. Although the accumulation of these fleeting identities, overtaken by the intensity of the cinematic format, makes this memory fade as it is being built.
